I've been playing around with advanced sharpening techniques in Photoshop CS2 for a few weeks, and have a technique that I like very much.
However, before I share that with the world, there are some excellent resources out there. One startlingly good site is The Lights Right Studio - there are some fascinating things on there. The three stage capture/creative/output sharpening is the approach that I favour. For a background paper on this, read Bruce Fraser's "Thoughts on a Sharpening Workflow".

Yet I reckon there's a little more to sharpening the output of a DSLR - the Bayer matrix means there's more twice as much detail in the green channel as the red and blue. I'll follow with some other information...
